Sunil - I haven't seen it in a city for quite a while now and this is the reason I was so excited after spotting one in a village. Sourabh, TD23 - I couldn't think of a better angle while I was clicking. And as far as dark tone is concerned, it's my favorite style of processing :)
Nisha, Deepa: Those electric lanterns - Yes, I have seen them but they aren't as fascinating as kerosene ones. Memories can't be replaced with anything new; They are priceless. Thanks a lot for your kind words :)

This type of lanterns were common during my childhood. Now, it is rare... though a few has re-incarnated in a modern avatar with electric bulbs!!!
